| Well, life has certainly thrown a few curveballs my way.
I haven't written in here for what feels like decades
and I think it's because I've been writing in my journal-journal
instead.
It's more private and takes a little extra time,
so it's been interesting to get some of my thoughts written out on paper.
So just wanted to let you all know I'm doing okay :)

| I'm considering keeping a written journal,
rather than a blog.

| Today,
I love the way my life is going.
I love the scent of the pumpkin candle I have lit;
I love that my room is making progress;
I love my internship.
Tonight, at the internship,
I had a complete and total blast,
despite it not being an extraordinarily eventful night.
To Do:
1. call USAA about getting a credit card
2. job hunt
3. horseback riding... will I have enough time?
4. find out when Robert's appointment is
5. look into piranha and aquarium for Steve
6. hang out with Kit, Dani, and James
7. Call Kit, Ben, and Jesse
8. Figure out birthday plans-- talk to Dad about OC; possible mini-party?
9. deposit paychecks
10. webcourse
11. continue cleaning room
12. start back into volunteerwork again
13. look into a new wallet
14. haircut and other physical appearance upgrades
15. doctor and dental appointments

| It was a pretty lax weekend.
I worked Friday night,
and then had off on Saturday,
which I spent as follows: Sky picked me up and we went to
Isaac's to buy the candle for Mom,
Target for Jones Soda,
and Giant for cookie dough.
We then dropped the stuff off at his place
then headed out for lunch at Java Junction-- to go.
We took it to Pinchot Park,
where we ate by the lake.
Afterwards, we climbed onto a big rock and relaxed,
chatting about summer plans and the like.
Sky spotted a baby turtle
and off course I had to hold it :D
We wandered around some more
and then went back to his house, made cookies,
and headed to Brad's for a get-together.
There was a fire going
and we played soccer in the muddy remains of Brad's backyard.
Got to talk to Steve on the phone several times :)
Hung out around the fire,
took down all of the camp stuff,
and took the party indoors
after a quick run for food from Giant.
We played a bunch of Halo
then slept.
I'd originally planned on going to work this morning,
10-4,
but I felt very sick this morning.
Skipped work
(I'm allowed-- I make my own hours)
and slept in here at home.
I've been kind of puttering around the house
taking care of stuff. And now,
it's suppertime! :D | | |
